a squirrel moves the shadows

Monday morning
a mom waves to the school bus
and to the hawk
busy with thoughts I bump into a honeysuckle day
the azalea flower
the way it carries the burden
of a bumble bee
pollen covers
the pictures in my camera
spring in Georgia
deer's look
my eyes behind
the camera

watching the bow of the sun
from the top of a hill

spring meditation-
next to the old thoughts, some
curious new sprouts

a chipmunk and I
having breakfasts
one window apart

on the lawn
investigator boy meets a fellow
investigator worm

the wind- trapped
in a battle with the big maple,
the rain- still missing

two plumbers working
many sounds but
not a single word

from the rain -
a spring bud topping for
the winter green


flocks of winged seeds
are abandoning their trees,
dry rain pats the ground
