Tiring the heart--
mountains and ocean
too much beauty

cool rain
on the surface of the pond
yellow petals
the plum tree
already in bloom
white honesty
as pearls
as stars
as tiny Suns on forest floor
as Spring – yes as Spring

Cheshire smile recalls
a near embrace with Venus
lunar abandon
cherry blossom
in the front garden
next door's cat

..resounding

he persevered
and soon enough the lilacs of
spring rose
with the effortless calm
the blue of sky resounds

cherry tree
promises spring blossom
crocuses fade
night screams
resolve as cats fighting
sleep, interrupted

at our first
floor window – the tree
we planted
to remember Michael
is blooming now

spikes of morning frost
pick out an old teddy bear
slivers of sunshine
along the riverside
Lenten robes
of purple lilac

Festival of colors

festival of colors
the flowering trees in the city park
coming to bloom
summer sun
on early day release
a bowl of tulips
football in the park  -
daffodils and croci
proud in their colours
misty morning
a haze of willow green
two sparrows

dew-drops falling down

dew-drops falling down
tulips and daffodils…
morning pearls of dawn

on a chimney pot
a magpie's twiglet nest
morning calls
a cornflower
in a gap between bricks
overwintering snails
red tulips
among the bare-branched shrubs
blackbirds
through the woods
daffodils
lighting the way
sparrow
drinks from water bucket
morning sun
